Baylor Scott & White Cognitive Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry offers comprehensive care, diagnosis and management of progressive cognitive and behavioral impairments for the citizens of Dallas and its surrounding communities.

We care for individuals with problems affecting their memory, language and thinking that began before the age of 65.

Areas of clinical expertise include:

  • Early-onset dementias (beginning before 65 years of age)
  • Early-onset or atypical Alzheimer’s disease
  • Frontotemporal degeneration/Dementia
  • Progressive aphasia or language impairments
  • Movement disorders with cognitive impairment

Claudia Padilla, MD, is currently accepting new patients and provides the quality care you would expect from a leading name in mental health. Most insurance plans are accepted.

On your first visit, we will begin a permanent record. We will ask you to complete a new patient questionnaire, found on our Forms page, prior to your appointment. Please bring your insurance card, picture identification and any pertinent medical records including CDs and reports of available brain scans. Please plan to ar​rive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment.

New Patient Visits

Please allow approximately two hours for the first visit. The evaluation will include a review of your medical history, tests of memory, language and thinking, and a neurological examination.

If you have an urgent problem, please contact your primary care physician. However, if you feel it is a life-threatening emergency, call 911. Do not delay by calling the doctor’s office first.

We offer comprehensive care, diagnosis, and management of progressive cognitive and behavioral impairments.

Our complete clinical evaluation usually consists of at least two visits with scheduled tests in between the two appointments.

The scheduled tests may include:

  • Neuropsychological assessment
  • Structural or functional brain imaging
  • Other diagnostic tests.​

Once the evaluation is complete, the referring clinician will be sent a ​consultation report.
