Osteosarcoma is a type of bone cancer​ that usually develops in the osteoblast cells that form bones. It occurs most often in children, adolescents and young adults. Osteosarcoma is most commonly found in the long bones around the knee. Osteosarcoma may spread into nearby tissue or in the bloodstream.​
