By definition, emergencies take you by surprise. When they do, the emergency care physicians in Dallas at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health are ready 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the treatment you need.

If you have a life-threatening condition, call 9-1-1.

We are a Level I trauma center and directly receive trauma patients from the Dallas area, as well as patients transferred from other Baylor Scott & White Health hospitals and healthcare facilities throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

Limb salvage

Our renowned capabilities in limb salvage include treating complex problems such as severed limbs, crushed bones, extreme or multiple fractures, nonunion fractures and bone infection.

Sudden cardiac arrest or heart attack

Each day, nearly 1,000 Americans experience sudden cardiac arrest. More than 95% die—in many cases because lifesaving defibrillators arrive on the scene too late, if at all.

To save more lives, we support the American Heart Association's efforts to train and equip those likely to be first to arrive at an emergency with heart-shocking automatic external defibrillators (AEDs).
