Inpatient rehabilitation services

The rehabilitation department is an 18-bed unit, capable of accommodating bariatric patients, and committed to providing a minimum of three hours of multi-disciplinary treatment each day. The department is designed to increase patient independence and safety transition them back to the community discharge.

We offer a team approach, led by a physiatrist, which allows us to closely monitor the patient's progress to help maximize program effectiveness. The treatment team evaluates the patient's abilities and then designs an individualized rehabilitation program to help each patient reach their goals in an efficient time and manner.

Bi-weekly, the patient's progress is assessed in the areas of medical management, self-care skills, mobility skills, communication and cognition with a concentrated focus on discharge planning.
