Our program offers the vast expertise afforded by Baylor Scott & White Health coupled with the individualized attention allowed in a smaller setting.

The Baylor Scott & White Health PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

Our program is based on standards developed by ASHP and managed by the Residency Advisory Committee (RAC). The RAC closely follows residents' progress through the training program and provides direction when necessary.

We are now accepting three residents each year.

About the program

As affiliates of the world-renowned Baylor Scott & White Health Care System (BSWH), Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center – Fort Worth offers the vast expertise of a long-standing health care system with the family feel of a smaller setting. The hospital has 538 licensed beds, provides comprehensive services in many specialized areas such as transplant, advanced heart failure and left ventricular assist devices, oncology, and neonatal intensive care. In the fall of 2021, BSW All Saints Medical Center- Fort Worth transitioned to a university teaching hospital, welcoming the inaugural class of medical residents.

Our pharmacist preceptors have taken the time to build reputable and trusted relationships with our physicians and nursing staff. This in part attributed to the longevity of our pharmacist preceptors. Additional board certifications obtained by our preceptors have also further elevated our pharmacists' knowledge, services, and expectations.

To help guide our residents through their year, each picks an advisor for the year. The resident advisor consistently meets with and is one of the many supporters of the resident during the year, along with the residency program director and department leadership.

Since 2003, BSW All Saints Medical Center- Fort Worth has offered an ASHP accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency. Each year, our preceptors have worked with our residents to build upon their PharmD education and prepare them to be confident, effective pharmacy leaders providing the highest standard of patient care.
