Anyone experiencing muscle or joint symptoms who is at least 18 years old and a resident of Texas can participate.

You can get started with the following steps:

1. Schedule a video visit evaluation with a Muscle and Joint Care Specialist, with appointments usually available the same or next business day.
2. Complete a brief questionnaire about your lifestyle, condition(s), and treatment goals so we can get to know you better.
3. Get paired with a Care Coordinator who will support you and help you access your personalized care plan through the MyBSWHealth dashboard.

You can still participate. Muscle and Joint Care offers ongoing support for both current and recurring muscle or joint issues throughout your care journey.

Muscle and Joint Care is a personalized service. We use your initial questionnaire and video visit evaluation to customize a treatment plan that seeks to fit your recovery goals and preferences.

Muscle and Joint Care is covered by most insurance providers. Verify with your insurance provider about coverage. 

Services outside Muscle and Joint Care may have additional costs depending on your insurance coverage.

Virtual physical therapy provides unlimited video sessions for $99/month; however, these services are not covered by insurance at this time.

Your initial evaluation will be a video visit with your Muscle and Joint Care Specialist through your MyBSWHealth account.

You’ll need a MyBSWHealth account. The experience is the best in the MyBSWHealth app. If you do not have a MyBSWHealth account, you can create one here.

Your initial evaluation lasts about 30 minutes. During this visit, your Muscle and Joint Care Specialist will complete an evaluation and help to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan tailored to your needs. 

For follow-up care, we will connect you with in-person providers or offer virtual options, depending on what you prefer.

Here are the steps you will follow through the program: 

1. Before your visit: You'll complete a quick online pain scale and onboarding questionnaire. This information will be used to understand your pain, set your goals and track your progress.
2. During your visit: We'll discuss your pain history and any current symptoms, review any existing images, and conduct a virtual evaluation which includes range of motion and mechanical testing.
3. After your visit: We'll coordinate your next steps through your MyBSWHealth app patient portal, which may include requesting more images, scheduling physical therapy, specialist referrals and sending prescriptions to your pharmacy.

Your Care Coordinator is your main point of contact. Here is what you can expect:

1. Dedicated to you and your goals from your first appointment to your last.
2. Answers insurance questions and handles authorizations 
3. Coordinates your appointments, referrals and next steps
4. Checks in regularly, monitors progress and adjusts your care plan as needed 
5. As a licensed social worker, your Care Coordinator helps you and your family navigate the emotional, social and practical challenges that come with pain and immobility.
