Biju Benny Mathew, MD

Dr. Biju Mathew, MD,  is a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience in hospital medicine and advanced wound care. Licensed since 2014, he is dedicated to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care for individuals with complex and chronic wounds.


Dr. Mathew earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed residency training at NYU Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Training in a high-acuity, diverse clinical environment strengthened his expertise in managing medically complex patients.

He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Wound Management, reflecting advanced expertise in comprehensive medical management and specialized wound care.

Since 2021, Dr. Mathew has served as a hospitalist at Baylor Scott & White, caring for high-acuity inpatient populations and managing complex wound cases. He is focused on extending wound care expertise into the outpatient setting to improve continuity of care, accelerate healing.

He is deeply committed to ongoing education and continuously studies emerging techniques, technologies, and research to ensure his patients receive the most current and effective treatments available.
