About Charlie Dee Wilson, MD

Dr. Wilson is a native Texan. Born in Dallas, he grew up in Rockwall, TX. After high school, he made his way around the state, going to Trinity University in San Antonio (where he was a safety on the football team) for his undergraduate education and UT Houston for his medical school training. He eventually landed in Temple, here at Baylor Scott & White, for his orthopaedic surgery residency. He then ventured up to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for subspecialty training in hand and wrist surgery, with an additional focus on peripheral nerve surgery and microsurgery techniques.

Dr. Wilson loved Central Texas so much that he made his way back to Baylor Scott & White to start his orthopaedic practice. He now focuses on all manner of hand, wrist, and elbow problems including fractures, arthritis, sports and ligamentous injuries, tendon injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, ganglion cysts and other masses, Dupuytren contractures, and congenital hand differences. In addition, he maintains a special focus on surgery for a variety of nerve problems including brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries, painful neuromas, and loss of function or contractures due to cerebral palsy, stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.

In his free time, Dr. Wilson enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, doing a variety of activities like reading, playing sports, and exploring Central Texas.
