Dr. Even is a native Texan, born and raised in Willis, TX. He attended Texas A&M University on a full athletic scholarship and then went to the University of Texas-Houston to obtain his medical degree. After completing his residency in orthopedic surgery at Vanderbilt University, he completed his spine fellowship (specialized training in spinal surgery) at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Even specializes in surgery of all degenerative, traumatic, sports-related and oncologic disorders of the spine using advanced minimally invasive techniques.
His contributions in world-renowned publications and his aptitude for research have been recognized through several awards and speaking opportunities at national spine meetings.
Dr. Even is currently the spine surgery consultant to the Texas Rangers Baseball Club, LLC, Dallas Stars Hockey Club, LLC, and Dallas Baptist University Athletic Department.
Dr. Even is married and has four children. He spends his free time with his family and enjoys boating, water-skiing, sporting events, working out and being an active member of Gateway Church. He is also very active in medical missions and spends two weeks per year in Guatemala providing free spine care to the people of
Guatemala.
