Sean Haslam, MD, FRCSC, FAAOS, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement surgery who sees patients in Frisco. He treats a wide range of shoulder and knee conditions, including ACL tears, meniscus injuries, rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, knee arthritis and sports-related injuries. His expertise includes arthroscopic knee surgery, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement surgery and knee replacement surgery.


Dr. Haslam has extensive experience caring for athletes of all ages and currently serves as team physician for the Frisco Lone Star High School Athletic Department. In 2025, he provided sports medicine coverage during the Women's USA Volleyball Tournament in Arlington, Texas, helping care for athletes representing Team USA, Canada, China, the Dominican Republic, Germany and Thailand.

A recognized leader in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Haslam serves as Chief of Surgery and Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and Neurosurgery at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Centennial. He is also an adjunct faculty member for the Baylor University Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program and an official journal reviewer for Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery. Throughout his career, he has been an internationally recognized researcher, educator and presenter, authoring numerous scientific publications and earning multiple awards for excellence in teaching and clinical education.

Dr. Haslam has been recognized as a D Magazine Best Doctor and Best Doctor in Collin County multiple times for his commitment to exceptional orthopedic and sports medicine care.

Outside of work, Dr. Haslam enjoys spending time with his wife and six children. He enjoys football, pickleball and mastering his pit barbeque skills.
