The Center offers members

Classes are designed to focus on being active, healthy eating, understanding prescriptions, problem solving, reducing health risks and managing stress.

During your first visit, the wellness team will guide you through the process of becoming a member. You will need to:
  • Complete a New Member application
  • See a physician, nurse practitioner and/or a diabetes educator
  • Complete a health screening
  • Discuss a plan for your healthcare

Diabetes Prevention Program (H.E.L.P.)

Healthy Eating, Exercise & Lifestyle Program

Have you been diagnosed with pre-diabetes or are you at risk for diabetes? If so, you may want to consider our free weight loss/diabetes prevention program. Contact Kati Szamos at 214.915.3282 for more information.

Diabetes Education Program

BSW HWC offers a course to empower people with diabetes with tools, so they can effectively manage and live successfully with diabetes. The classes consist of four 2-hour sessions that cover the 7 Healthy Habits outlined by the American Association of Diabetes Educators. Attendance requires a physician's referral and most insurance companies, including Medicare, offer benefits for coverage. This program is offered in English and Spanish.
