The PGY2 Emergency Medicine resident functions as an integral member of the Emergency Medicine team in order to acquire practical clinical experience

The mission of the Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC) Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Residency Program is to deliver exceptional, evidence-based care to the Dallas community while cultivating expert clinical pharmacists who lead with confidence, think critically under pressure, and are equipped to thrive in any high-acuity setting.

The PGY2 Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Resident serves as an integral member of the emergency medicine team, gaining advanced, hands-on clinical experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Residents will care for a diverse and complex patient population, managing a broad range of acute and chronic conditions across all age groups. Through direct patient care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-time clinical decision-making, residents will develop the expertise, confidence, and adaptability required to excel as leaders in emergency medicine pharmacy practice.

The PGY2 Emergency Medicine program was initiated in julio 2021 and is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). We currently accept two residents each year.
