The Center for Nursing Leadership focuses on the growth and development of nurses' careers along the continuum of care and includes targeted programs for onboarding/orientation of new leaders, knowledge and experience that support advancing nursing leadership competencies, and mentoring and succession planning.

  • Bootcamp

    Bootcamp

    Learn the leadership essentials that will set you up for success at Baylor Scott & White Health. The Bootcamp onboarding program combines online and classroom learning so you get the support and training you need to hit the ground running as a new clinical leader.

  • Nursing Foundations

    Nursing Foundations

    The Foundations of Nursing Leadership program is designed to develop nursing managers and supervisors through interactive classes and group mentoring sessions facilitated by trained mentors. This year-long program emphasizes the application of new learnings in the workplace and skill augmentation in peer mentoring groups.

  • Executive Fellowship

    Executive Fellowship

    Our Executive Fellowship program targets and trains our high-performing, high-potential leaders at the manager and director levels to reach even higher. This select program is hosted every two years in partnership with  Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business, Executive Education, and it functions like an executive MBA program for clinical leaders. The fellowship includes four functional areas, including:

    • A 10-course curriculum
    • An individualized career development plan (CDP) based on a formal 360 and personality assessment
    • Mentorship from a senior Baylor Scott & White Health executive
    • A capstone project approved by facility senior executives
  • Succession Planning

    Succession Planning

    Growth plans are important at every stage of your nursing career. Through our Succession Planning program, you work with talent development resources to build out a roadmap for success based on your individual goals and skills. This includes identifying where you might need additional education and training, mentorship and experience.

  • Certificaciones

    Certificaciones

    Evidence shows that national certification coupled with formal education improves patient outcomes by enhancing the knowledge and confidence of the nurse. Nurses at Baylor Scott & White Health have access to national certifications in different specialty areas through our Certification Rewards program. At all levels in nursing, we encourage and recognize the value of professional certifications.
