Anil K. Koganti, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, shoulder surgery and shoulder reconstruction. He provides comprehensive care for patients in Dallas and Garland experiencing shoulder injuries, shoulder instability, arthritis, sports-related injuries and other conditions affecting the upper extremity.

Dr. Koganti earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University before graduating with honors from the Emory University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Southern California and went on to pursue advanced fellowship training in sports medicine and shoulder reconstruction.

Since moving to Dallas in 2005, Dr. Koganti has served as an Assistant Professor of Sports Medicine in the UT Southwestern Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, helping train future orthopedic surgeons while advancing patient care and sports medicine education.

His clinical interests include shoulder arthroscopy, rotator cuff injuries, shoulder instability, labral tears, shoulder arthritis, sports injuries, shoulder reconstruction and treatment of traumatic shoulder conditions. Dr. Koganti specializes in advanced arthroscopic techniques and shoulder preservation procedures designed to relieve pain, restore function and help patients return to the activities they enjoy.

Using both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, Dr. Koganti develops personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's lifestyle, goals and condition severity.
