Cherese Wiley, MD is a board-certified internal medicine physician who is passionate about helping patients achieve the healthiest version of themselves. She promotes the cornerstones of good health: nutrition, exercise, and disease prevention. She focuses on patient education as a way to encourage patients to take an active part in their overall health.

Dr. Wiley treats urgent medical needs as well as chronic medical conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes, thyroid conditions, obesity and metabolic syndrome to name a few. She is dedicated to partnering with patients who desire to achieve weight loss.

Dr. Wiley has been featured on WFAA/ABC local news station for over seven years as a regular medical spokesperon during the noon day segment discussing medical topics as a representative for Baylor Scott & White.

Dr. Wiley grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She graduated with high honors from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and attended medical school at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennesee. During medical school, she was inducted into the prestigious medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.

With southern roots and charm, Dr. Wiley enjoys preparing healthy but tasty meals for her family, with the occasional preparation of their favorite southern comfort foods. Dr. Wiley volunteers in her community and with her local church. She has been married to her best friend, Dr. Jamal Wiley, for twenty years. She is an avid sports fan, but her favorite athletes are her three children who are very active in basketball, football, track and cheer. Dr. Wiley enjoys a variety of fitness activities and is often known to say “if it’s fun and burns calories- then do it!” Dr. Wiley is a member of American College of Physicians, National Medical Association and Texas Medical Association.
