Dr. Christopher Casstevens

Dr. Casstevens specializes in surgery of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder with fellowship training in techniques including microsurgery, arthroscopy, arthroplasty and post-traumatic reconstruction. Dr. Casstevens is involved in the medical research community and has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals and presented at national conferences. His career as an orthopedic surgeon is further enriched by medical relief work and education in Thailand, Haiti and Chile. Dr. Casstevens is a native Austinite with family ties to Lakeway extending back nearly 50 years. He is thankful for the opportunity to raise his family in the area and proud to serve the community that raised him. When not treating patients, he enjoys playing guitar, skiing, hiking and traveling.


Dr. Casstevens has been recognized as a Top Doc 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 by Austin Monthly Magazine. Winners are nominated by their peers as among the best in their region/nation in their medical specialty.
Dr. Casstevens is part of a care team with his Physician Assistant, Samantha Moran. These teams are designed to enhance their ability to deliver personalized care to their patients.
