Dr. Eric L. Pagenkopf

Eric L. Pagenkopf, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic trauma surgeon who sees patients in McKinney, Texas. He specializes in the treatment of fractures, traumatic injuries and complex post-traumatic reconstruction, providing advanced orthopedic trauma care for patients with severe musculoskeletal injuries, fracture complications and conditions affecting bone healing and recovery.


Dr. Pagenkopf has extensive expertise in the treatment of pelvic fractures, acetabular fractures, periarticular fractures, fracture nonunions and malunions, as well as other complex orthopedic trauma conditions. His clinical interests include orthopedic trauma surgery, fracture care, post-traumatic reconstruction, bone healing and advanced fracture fixation techniques, with a focus on restoring function, mobility and quality of life through personalized treatment plans and innovative surgical approaches.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Pagenkopf has authored multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters and has lectured internationally on orthopedic trauma and fracture management. His dedication to education and advancing the field of orthopedic trauma has made him a respected leader among his peers.
Before entering orthopedic surgery, Dr. Pagenkopf served 34 years in the United States Navy, retiring with the rank of Captain. During his distinguished military career, he served as a Navy adversary pilot, aeronautical engineer, TOPGUN instructor, flight surgeon and combat-experienced orthopedic trauma surgeon. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cycling and traveling.
