It has been determined I will need knee replacement for both knees in the future but doctor decided to hold off on surgery for the time being. | 3.9 | febrero 26, 2025 | I am very happy with Dr. Yousuf himself; he seemed thoughtful and caring, and he seems to have done fine work on my hip - at 3.5 weeks out, I'm able to resume normal life with little pain, although I'm not yet attempting to walk more than 30 minutes at a time.I also felt that the in-home and in-clinic physical therapy have been good.Areas for improvement: In Dr. Yousuf's office, I sometimes felt rushed through by both the Dr. & his staff; I did need to have my questions queued up, because there wasn' t time to think new ones up while there. More concerning is that 2 people in his office insisted that post-surgery, I absolutely must not bend forward more than 89 degrees, even though Dr. Yousuf had used the anterior surgical approach In my hip replacement, while 2 people with the physical therapists told me I absolutely could bend forward but must not arch backward. I ended up switching back and forth 3 times, spending most of the time following the physical therapists' advice, since that also matched what I'd seen during my own research; and as far as I can tell, it's worked out well. Note, at one point, one of the physical therapists showed me a brief text forwarded to her from Dr. Yousuf that was supposed to confirm which restrictions were correct, and it merely said something like "Normal" protocol - which I imagine both factions interpreted as confirming what they'd thought was "normal" (i.e., the text did not seem to me to clarify anything).Anyway, it all worked out; the results seem pretty great, and I would happily recommend Dr. Yousuf again. | |
