Kristin Wilson Barba, MD

Dr. Beard is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery. Her focuses include the diagnosis and treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett's esophagus, achalasia, hiatal hernia and paraesophageal hernia, and other disorders of the esophagus and stomach. Dr. Beard also cares for general surgical problems, including abdominal wall hernias, groin hernias, and benign and malignant diseases of the colon. Dr. Beard graduated from medical school at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, KS, in 2010. She then completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, in 2015. Dr. Beard completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR, in 2016. Dr. Beard joined the General Surgery medical staff at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Round Rock in 2016.
