There is an amazing compassionate and caring culture across the board at Baylor and Dr. Elkhurd is no exception. My husband has a very complicated movement disorder of which he has had multiple attempts at diagnosing. Through a fairly recent and not necessarily used, state of the art biopsy, we were finally given some answers. Dr. Elkhurd is smart, caring and treats the whole patient. Parksnson's Is a difficult disease affecting not only the patient but the family. Dr. E takes time to address the treatment plan while asking and allowing time for questions and observations. He is an asset to the Baylor Neurology and the Movement Disorders Program.

He knows the subject matter and has a great way of communicating because he is a good listener. His solution to my RLS gave me great relief when other medication was failing after many years. On my follow-up visit I wanted to discuss other health concerns because my 74 year old brother recently died from Altzheimer's and of course, I want to know how to anticipate my future propensity (or not). He got right into it and addressed my questions and concerns thoroughly.
