Dr. Sharmin's philosophy is that every patient should be in control of their own health while she serves as an advocate to guide them in making the right choices. Her professional interests include hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes, nicotine addiction, obesity, anxiety management, autism spectrum disorder, depression and women's health. Dr. Sharmin wants her patients to believe in the old saying that "Health is Wealth". Together, as a team, Dr. Sharmin wants to partner with her patients to achieve health care goals and a better quality of life.

Outside of work, Dr. Sharmin loves to make video content for her Youtube channel, travel and explore new places and restaurants, cook, and paint with acrylics. She has an autistic daughter who has made her more compassionate about her patients and special needs children. Dr. Sharmin loves to spend time with her family, her macaw parrots and bunny.
