Richard A. Sawyers, MD

As a general neurologist, Dr. Sawyers considers serving patients and families during times of need the ultimate privilege.

His training and experience span a wide variety of neurologic conditions, including stroke, spine disease, movement disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, epilepsy and migraine. He has experience with electrodiagnosis (EMG, nerve conduction studies and EEG), lumbar puncture, Botox® and skin biopsy. During his career, he has served on numerous hospital committees, including credentialing, pharmacy and ethics, and has participated with local, state and national organizations to advance the importance of and accessibility to care of the nervous system.   

When not practicing neurology, he enjoys activities with his wife and family, including travel, cooking, exercise, the arts and pursuing “odd jobs.”
