Biografía
Dr. Mehta is a transplant hepatologist specializing in the management of advanced liver disease and liver transplantation. He has expertise in the full spectrum of hepatology, including cirrhosis, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD/MASH), autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, portal hypertension, and hepatocellular carcinoma. His clinical practice focuses on the care of patients undergoing liver transplant evaluation as well as post-transplant management. He currently serves as Associate Professor at the Burnett School of Medicine at TCU and transplant hepatologist with Texas Liver Consultants in Fort Worth. He also serves as Medical Director of Liver Transplant Quality for the Baylor Healthcare System and as the inaugural Gastroenterology Fellowship Director at TCU-Baylor All Saints Medical Center. An active educator and researcher, Dr. Mehta has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and national liver transplant policy reviews in leading journals including Hepatology and Liver Transplantation. He has also contributed to national quality initiatives through the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Practice Metrics Committee. Dr. Mehta is proud to practice in the community where he was raised and remains committed to advancing liver disease care, transplant quality, medical education, and patient-centered outcomes across North Texas.
