Biografía
I’ve been working in behavioral health, walking alongside patients as they work toward greater well-being. What drew me to the field of mental health is the chance to support people through meaningful, personal transformation. I’m especially passionate about working with grief, trauma, and PTSD—experiences that are often misunderstood or feel overwhelming. I truly believe healing is possible, even in the most painful moments, and I aim to create a space where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered to reclaim their stories. What can clients expect in their first interaction with me? My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and direct. I use evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and problem-solving, along with expressive therapies, to support meaningful change. I aim to help individuals move from surviving to thriving by honoring their unique healing journey. What’s my role in our work together? I maintain a predictable rhythm, follow through on commitments, and respect boundaries. In our work together, I often use journaling prompts, mindfulness practices, and creative exercises that translate well online. These tools are also available directly to patients in MyBSWHealth outside of sessions, helping deepen engagement and offering meaningful ways to process emotions between visits. What do I want clients to take away from working with me? Therapy is more than talking about your feelings. Using coping skills, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral techniques, solution focused therapy and creative therapies, you can activate yourself to be better and live a life rich with possibilities. What’s something I wish more people knew about therapy? It doesn’t have to be scary. We’ll start with a simple assessment and talk through what you’re hoping to get out of the therapy. It’s a chance for us to get a general sense of your goals, and we’ll take it from there—step by step, together.
