What I thought was a mole was really Stage 4 Melanoma

For five years, Angie Riley watched the mole on her thigh change. It grew, changed colors and became painful. "I was very much in denial of what was going on with my body. That was a huge mistake on my part," she says. At her local Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Angie had surgery to remove a stage 4 melanoma, the most dangerous form of skin cancer. A radioactive dye imaged on X-ray showed surgeons how far the cancer had spread in her leg. "I’m back to normal thanks to Baylor Scott & White."
