Our fellows train at a dedicated women’s imaging center alongside fellowship-trained, board certified radiologists

The Breast Imaging Fellowship Program at Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, is a one-year fellowship at the Darlene G. Cass Women’s Imaging Center in Dallas, Texas. The program offers comprehensive training in all aspects of advanced breast imaging with a clinically and academically active faculty across multiple disciplines.

The goal of our program is to train the next generation of breast imagers with a solid foundation in scholarship, innovative research and clinical practice.

Training


The Breast Imaging Fellowship Program at Baylor Dallas follows the ACR/Society of Breast Imaging Resident and Fellow Training Curriculum for Breast Imaging.

Training and experience will be provided in all aspects of diagnostic breast imaging, including:

  • Mamografía digital
  • Tomosíntesis
  • El ultrasonido de mama

Breast interventional training includes:

  • Image-guided core needle biopsy using sonographic, mammographic, MR and tomosynthesis-guided procedures.
  • Image-guided breast cyst/abscess drainage and aspiration
  • Pre-operative needle localizations using all imaging modalities, including MR and tomosynthesis
  • Galactography

Breast Imaging has implemented an All-In Policy for the Match. This means that programs participating in the Match cannot extend any offers to candidates outside of the Match. Applicants can withdraw from the Match prior to the ranking deadline if they accept a position outside of the Match.

Applicants pay a $75 registration fee to register for the Match.

Dates for the 2025 Virtual Radiology Fellowship Match for 2026 appointments:

  • noviembre 1, 2024: Programs may accept applications
  • enero 6, 2025: Virtual interview period begins
  • marzo 12, 2025: Match opens
  • marzo 31, 2025: Last day of interview period
  • abril 16, 2025: Ranking opens
  • junio 4, 2025: Ranking closes
  • junio 18, 2025: Match Day
  • julio 1, 2026: Training begins

In order to be considered for the program, applicants must submit the following materials with the application form:

  • CV
  • Recent photo
  • Three letters of reference, one of which must be from your Diagnostic Radiology program director
  • A brief paragraph describing your:
    • Reasons for interest in the Breast Imaging Fellowship
    • Training expectations
    • Practice expectations
  • Documents (certified copies are OK):
