As you pursue your advanced training at Baylor Scott & White, we want to extend our gratitude. Residents and fellows are eligible for employee-only medical coverage on the SEQA/EQA plans at no cost. You may also select from a menu of other employee benefits.

2024–2025 Stipends
Please note: These annual rates reflect the stipend awarded to residents and fellows who are training on the named Baylor Scott & White Health campus only. For information on benefits offered to residents or fellows in a program on a different campus or to another type of trainee, please refer to the other locations.

As we enhance learning at BSW, we also strive to support you with above-market compensation. With that in mind, we’ve established stipends for Academic Year 2025-2026 (AY 25-26). Below, you’ll find the upcoming changes that will go into effect in julio 2025.
Medical, Parental and Caregiver Leave
Residents/Fellows may request up to six (6) weeks of paid continuous leave1for qualifying reasons for one of the following reasons:
- Médico – due their own Serious Health Condition;
- Parental – the birth of a Son or Daughter or placement of a Son or Daughter with the Resident/Fellow for adoption or foster care, and/or to bond with a newborn or newly-placed child;
- Caregiver – care of the Resident/Fellow’s Spouse, Son, Daughter, or Parent with a Serious Health Condition
This leave is available for use one time during your Residency/Fellowship.
Note: Up to 2 weeks of accrued PTO and/or EIB, if applicable, will be used to supplement pay.
